Loved this one Michelle, I love the idea of going somewhere remote like this. Not sure how I’d cope in reality without my creature comforts. One of my fave memories is of camping on a farm outside Auckland (when we lived there) with no hot water, long drop toilets and no cell reception...it was awesome, although not too far away from creature comforts if we had retreated!
The short term trip is definitely how you get through without the usual comforts! We’ve never done more than a week of basic camping, so when we visit Dave and hear stories from his whole life on that farm it gives us a massive appreciation for running hot water, shops down the road and ratepayer services!!
